LeBron James is often criticized by former players for starting the superteam era by joining forces with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami in 2010. However, there was a Big 3 in the East before Miami’s Big 3, and that happened in Boston, with Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen.

Pierce has made it clear in the past that he doesn’t like LeBron very much, attributing it to the fact that they both spent their careers chasing NBA championships that only one could win. Pierce spoke in 2014 to ESPN, explaining how he feels about Bron

“I think it is more of a basketball thing. We are aiming for the same prize and only one of you can get it, you know?

“I mean, it’s going to be a dislike there. That’s nothing that has carried over off the court. I think everything — the dislike for me, LeBron, or Miami or Cleveland — it’s all based on what we are both chasing, and that is about it.”

And now NBA fan LeBron History on Twitter has shared compilations of moments from the times they faced one another that might explain why Pierce is not the King’s biggest fan.

While The Truth was an undisputed star during his prime in the NBA, he was hardly on the level that LeBron James has been at his whole career. Among one of the best players to ever play the game, Pierce is still in a tier below James, who is comfortably a part of the GOAT debate.

Their head-to-head record is quite even, playing one another 69 times with James just edging out the victories margin with 35 wins. However, when you dig deeper you realize that LeBron significantly outperformed Pierce during those contests, scoring nearly 11 points a game more than him and leading him in every single major statistical category.
