With the NBA Finals done and dusted, NBA fans will now turn their attention to free agency and the off-season. Teams will now focus on trying to improve their rosters, through free agency or a big trade. The biggest name on the trade market at the moment is Bradley Beal, whose future is unsure. The two names linked with him at the moment are the Phoenix Suns and the Miami Heat.

NBA fans on Twitter debated whether Bradley Beal would be a better fit for the Miami Heat or the Phoenix Suns. Most fans agreed that Beal would elevate himself and the rest of the Miami Heat, whereas joining the Suns could be looked at as taking the easy way out.

Beal would be a solid choice for Miami, as the team could definitely do with another scorer to reduce the load on Jimmy Butler. While Butler showed this past offseason that he can carry the franchise on his back, the Heat will definitely want to reward him for his efforts with another star-level teammate.

Bradley Beal Could Make Miami Contenders For Next Year

While the Miami Heat made an incredible run to the NBA Finals this year, one can make the argument that they were not really contenders. The Heat were able to upset all the teams in front of them in the Eastern Conference, despite not having the star power that those teams did.

But as they found out when playing the Denver Nuggets, the stars win championships. And the Heat desperately need a second star. A trio of Jimmy, Beal, and Bam Adebayo would provide the perfect balance between offensive star power and defensive presence, and with the Heat’s excellent recruiting process, they could build an excellent team around them. The Heat don’t want to give up Tyler Herro in any deal, which could be a problem.

As for Phoenix, Beal would end up being a third option behind Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. While this would be a potent trio, their massive salaries would mean the Suns would be massively restricted when it comes to role players to surround them. Beal’s future remains to be seen, but it will be an exciting road.
