When it comes to Western Conference faceoffs, the Lakers and Clippers are among the most highly anticipated matchups.

With the Clippers battling for supremacy in the city, and the Lakers trying to prove they still run the show, the narrative between the franchises has always been super interesting.

This season, with both being considered title contenders, their rivalry has remained a prominent narrative.

So, following Thursday night’s game, when the Clippers blew out the Purple and Gold (118-94), it became the talk of Twitter.

Needless to say, the Lakers just aren’t themselves without a healthy LeBron and Davis (who left with back spasms during the game), and it remains to be seen if the stars will be able to stay healthy throughout the playoffs.

As for the Clips, they’ve been described as inconsistent by the media, and nobody is sure what to expect from them over the next few months. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, they’ve got a solid core that is capable of winning it all. Whether or not they can pull it off, however, remains to be seen.

Either way, the West is as unpredictable now as it has ever been. The Jazz, Lakers, Clippers, and Suns all seem beatable, leaving open the door for any playoff team to make some real noise.

Nonetheless, we’ll just have to wait and see how it all ends up…
