Speaking of the best point guards of our generation, there is no way you can leave Chris Paul’s name off the list. The veteran point guard has been dominating the league for several years.

For what it’s worth, Paul has always been a sensational player in the regular season, but when it comes to the playoffs, he has failed to impress much there. No offense at his stats in the postseason throughout his career, he has consistently failed to close out big series.

This has been a constant issue for CP3 and was once again highlighted in the best-of-7 series against the Dallas Mavericks. Paul and the Suns had a chance to make consecutive appearances in the Western Conference Finals, and they were the favorites as well.

To make things better, the final game of the series was a home game for the Suns. Despite all these advantages, the Suns were blown out of proportion by Luka Doncic and the Mavericks.

It was an embarrassing game for the Suns and particularly for Paul. CP3 has now blown a 2-0 lead five times in his career. And yes, this is the highest number of times for a player in NBA history.

We wish we could have said that’s all, but it gets worse for the veteran point guard. He has another unwanted record to his name. He has now lost four straight Game 7s and is an abysmal 3-5 for his career.

Right now, if there is something that CP3 needs, it is support from the fans. But a video of the Suns’ fans burning Paul’s jersey has surfaced, which means the fans are pretty pissed off at him as well.

Despite that, Paul has announced that he’ll be back with the Suns next year. Fans will genuinely hope that the ‘Point God’ can win an NBA Championship before he retires because his retirement is looming around the corner as well.
