Dennis Rodman Reveals In What Shape He Was When Michael Jordan Knocked On His Door In Las Vegas: “I’m In Vegas Having A Blast With A Bunch Of Girls, Just Me And Carmen, A Bunch Of Jagers Drinking My A** Off…”

During the 1990s, Michael Jordan was the best player in the world, and the Chicago Bulls were the best team in the world. While MJ was hands down the best player on the team, he couldn’t have won six NBA Championships all on his own.

Along with Jordan, the Bulls had Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Steve Kerr, etc., who helped the organization in becoming a dynasty. To this day, the Bulls are considered one of the greatest dynasties that ever played in the league.

While Mike wasn’t known for making friends, even with his teammates, there are a few exceptions to it. Jordan’s friendship with Rodman may seem unlikely, but the two players are still friends.

It was evident when MJ asked Rodman to come and hang out with him at the NBA Top 75 event. On top of that, we are sure you must have heard about the infamous incident when Rodman went to Las Vegas mid-season, and it was Michael Jordan who got him back.

Michael Jordan Went To Las Vegas To Bring Dennis Rodman Back

Rodman is one of the most unique players to ever play in the league. The Worm perfected the art of rebounding and made a living out of it. Mike recognized Rodman’s worth and wanted to make sure he was present on the Bulls’ roster. Even if it required getting him back from Las Vegas.

Rodman recently recalled the incident and explained how his two-day holiday extended to almost four days until MJ intervened.

“I don’t think anyone’s ever approached any coach the way I did in Chicago with Phil Jackson. I just got so bored, same routine every day. So I went to Phil Jackson and say, ‘Hey Phil, hey man, I gotta get my mind right. I gotta go to Vegas.’ He said, ‘You wanna go to Vegas? Two days.’

“This was during the season, midway through the season, we’re playing games. Next thing you know I’m in Vegas having a blast with a bunch of girls, just me and Carmen [Electra], a bunch of Jagers drinking my a** off. On the third day, I’m still in Vegas partying my a** off. Fourth day, partying my a** off. Who comes to Vegas to pick me up? Michael Jordan.

On being asked what shape he was when MJ arrived, “I was in great shape. When I get back, what happened? I was lively, I was ready to rock! I was like, ‘boom!’ I was ready to rock. I’m good now.”

Rodman mentioned that he needed this vacation to clear his mind as he was getting bored with the same routine day in and day out.

Well, if MJ hadn’t arrived in Vegas on time, who knows how long the Worm’s vacation would have extended? Thankfully, Jordan reached there just in time to get him back, and the vacation also did the trick for Rodman, as he mentioned he was in great shape after the trip to Vegas.
