Draymond Green Punching Jordan Poole Is Still Creating Issues For Warriors, Says Executive

Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole was bigger than the Warriors admitted, and now they're paying the consequences of that.

The Golden State Warriors starred in one of the most controversial moments of the 2022 NBA offseason. Just months after they won the 2022 championship, they were getting ready to start a new season, but things went wrong between two of their most important players.

Draymond Green violently knocked out Jordan Poole during practice, which made the rounds around the NBA. This situation changed the dynamic between these two, as Draymond recently admitted, but it also affected the rest of the team.

The Warriors have struggled a lot to get things going this season, dealing with injuries and a lack of consistency. They don’t look like the team that won everything last season, and many fans are waiting to see some changes from the team. They have a solid core still, but things could be better if they make a move.

The Altercation Between Draymond Green And Jordan Poole Is Still Hurting The Warriors This Season

One NBA executive believes (via Sportskeeda) the Warriors should send Draymond Green away since that’d keep the young players on the roster and would make some changes for the rest of the team. The situation between Green and the rest of the team is complex, and the front office could use this as the perfect excuse to move him.

“They should (trade Green),” the exec said. “If they made the decision that they’re not giving up any of the young kids, then that’s fine. But are you going to just keep chugging forward with what you’ve got? Obviously, the Draymond punch with Poole was a bigger deal than they let on. It is still dragging down that team, no doubt about it.”

Some say he would be happy to join the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James, but it’s really hard to imagine Draymond wearing another jersey in the NBA. Still, anything can happen in the league, and if that means the Dubs will get better, they won’t hesitate to ship Draymond away.
