We are living in very complicated times with the coronavirus global pandemic. People are dying around the world due to this illness and the NBA world isn’t free of the impacts of this disease. We learned that some players actually tested positive before, during and after the suspension of the league, but nobody must have a worse story with the illness than Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Dominican-American player lost his mother to COVID-19 in probably the hardest moment of his young life. However, that was not the only thing he lived during all these months. Towns recently revealed that he’s seen seven family members passing away because of coronavirus.
It hasn’t been the best period of his life and he revealed that during the Minnesota Timberwolves’ media day, explaining that he’s not over his mother’s passing and all the things that happened after that.
“I’m the one looking for answers to try to keep my family well informed and make all the moves necessary to keep them alive,” KAT said, via Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

This situation has gotten out of control and some people don’t seem to understand that they need to take care of themselves and those around them. KAT has suffered a lot since the start of this whole thing and it’s still unclear when things will get back to normal.
He’s ready to start a new season with the Timberwolves, who made some good moves in the offseason. KAT will have plenty of inspiration to help his team this season while making sure that his loved ones stay aware of the dangers of COVID-19.
