LeBron James is 25 days away from turning 36 years old. The King has been absolutely great during his NBA career but not even him can beat father time. Bron eventually will slow down but the Lakers have a very good plan when that moment comes. Earlier this week, they re-signed Anthony Davis to a five-year contract extension, so pretty much they covered even after LeBron’s contract end in 2023.
Davis is expected to have an even bigger role with the team this season and even former President Barack Obama has tipped the Brow to step up and take the reins of the team over LeBron. During a recent appearance on LeBron’s HBO show ‘The Shop,’ Obama advised the King to let Anthony Davis do all the job while he rests in the first half of the season. Then, he could go back to his former self and lead the Lakers to the title once again.
Obama: “He’s definitely gonna have some minutes restriction. I’m not sure he’s getting back on D the first half of the season.” “Let Anthony Davis do all the work, man.”
LeBron: “That’s what I got him for.”
AD has replied to those claims, actually agreeing with Obama, saying that he’s younger than LeBron so it was understandable that Obama would say that.
Anthony Davis on President Obama telling LeBron James to have AD do all the work to open the season: "I am younger than LeBron, so President Obama would say something like that." AD said he and LeBron are talking on how to figure out the approach with the quick turnaround

After winning their first championship together, James, Davis and the Lakers are ready to repeat and continue their dominance over the Western Conference and the rest of the league. Both players signed contract extensions this week and the Lakers can’t be more excited about their future with their good stars.
