Kevin Durant has been in the middle of a media storm since he requested a trade from Brooklyn. Several analysts and former players have called out the superstar. Shaquille O’Neal has been vocal in criticizing KD for trying to move again, and it hasn’t helped that the saga is dragging on, with no move in sight for Durant.

From the outside looking in, it would be easy to assume that KD’s life is a little in turmoil at the moment. For a lot of players, this much uncertainty would certainly be an issue. DeMar DeRozan is a great example, recently talking about how free agency messed with his mindset.

However, Durant has always and will likely always only continue to care about his game. His constant interaction with his haters may make people believe he cares, but KD has often just focused on doing what he likes. And his work off the field this offseason has continued despite all the other drama, with Durant recently posting a story about it on Instagram.

“More work, less bullsh*t.”

The post in question was about the Durant Family Foundation, which is continuing its work of building courts in various areas across the world. Rich Kleiman, KD’s partner, posted about it on Instagram, which is what led to the story from the Nets star.

“Court #27 finished in Tokyo. Everybody likes to talk, we just keep working! Durant Family Foundation.”

KD is far from the only player to make moves in the charity space, most big players have foundations of their own that help people across the world. It is nice to see him carry on this work when his NBA future remains so in doubt, though, and hopefully, that aspect of his career will also sort itself out soon.
