Charles Barkley Says The Brooklyn Nets Shouldn't Trust Kyrie Irving: "I'm Not Giving You A Four Year Extension For $200 Million Because We Can't Count On You"

Kyrie Irving is viewed as one of the best point guards in the league when he's playing. His ballhandling ability is considered the best in the league, and we often see him do impossible dribble moves to score. This season, Kyrie Irving averaged 27.4 PPG, 4.4 RPG, and 5.8 APG.

Although he is clearly a talented player, Kyrie Irving has previously come under fire for missing a lot of games in any given season. Recently, ESPN analyst Kirk Goldsberry posted a graphic, which showed that Kyrie Irving has missed more games than he has played in since joining the Brooklyn Nets.

There is no doubt that the ability to actually suit up for basketball games and be durable is an important factor when playing in the NBA. Amidst the recent rumors about Kyrie Irving potentially leaving the Nets and going elsewhere, it is fair to say that there is a degree of risk involved for any team that does sign him. However, his talent could potentially make the risk worth it, and he could certainly be a contributor to a championship-level team.

It remains to be seen if Kyrie Irving does in fact decide to go elsewhere via trade/free agency or whether he remains with the Brooklyn Nets. It was recently reported that he has multiple teams that he would like to play for if he does leave Brooklyn, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. It would definitely be fun to see Kyrie Irving on either Los Angeles team.

If Kyrie Irving does remain with the Brooklyn Nets, he will be walking into a star-studded squad featuring Kevin Durant, Ben Simmons, and himself. Hopefully, Kyrie Irving makes the decision that is right for him, and we'll have to wait to see where he ends up next season.
