Nikola Jokic has been proving why he deserves to win his 3rd consecutive MVP so far this season. While he still has a way to go to establish his candidacy, Jokic is quietly leading the Denver Nuggets to the top of the West after having a healthy supporting cast for the first time since 2019-20.

Jokic went viral for wearing a suit to the Nuggets game against the Memphis Grizzlies. While he was looking suave, he broke the mold of modern NBA players rocking designer streetwear brands to the game. After leading the Nuggets to a win, Jokic revealed to Inside the NBA why he wore a suit.

“To be honest, this is something I started doing this season. I just don’t like how the guys are dressing up for the games. Wearing a suit means business, it means that I’m here to do my job.”

Jokic looking to be all business shows the mentality he has this season. While we have seen some of the greatest not being afraid to be stylish, locking into this mindset might help Jokic focus on the tall task of becoming an NBA Champion ahead.

Nikola Jokic Leading The Denver Nuggets To A Title This Season?

Jokic looks set to become one of the best players of his generation, making history this season. While he may want a third MVP and has played up to the standard, voter fatigue likely means Giannis Antetokounmpo or Jayson Tatum will end up holding the trophy up high.

The Nuggets are looking like a cohesive unit, helmed by Jokic’s calm play from the center position. Not only is he providing better defense than what we have come to expect from him, but his playmaking and offense have become undeniably among the most impactful in the entire NBA.
