Skip Bayless Disses Giannis Antetokounmpo Over Best NBA Player Poll: “KD Outplayed Giannis Head To Head!”

Every year polls and rankings spark plenty of controversy around the NBA. Players often feel disrespected and snubbed and use that as motivation for the next season.

LeBron James already spoke up after getting zero votes for best player in the NBA on ESPN’s poll, a somewhat controversial outcome considering he’s one of the greatest players of all time.

Unsurprisingly, Skip Bayless made the most of that opportunity to take yet another uncalled shot at LeBron while also backing up his case for Kevin Durant being the best player on the planet:

“No surprise LeBron got zero votes in the best player poll. What exactly is he the king of? No, the surprise was that Kevin Durant didn’t get all 10 best-player votes instead of splitting with Giannis. KD outplayed Giannis head to head! #TheBestPlayerOnThePlanet,” Bayless tweeted.

Not to take anything away from Kevin Durant, which is clearly one of the greatest players of all time. But coming from Skip Bayless, you know that he’s just saying that as a part of his anti-LeBron agenda.

Bayless is obsessed with LeBron James and it feels like he’s just going to retire once James also decides to call it a day. There’s not a single day he doesn’t bring LeBron James’ name up, even when he’s not talking about basketball.

As for the poll, well, it would be difficult to argue that a player coming off a nearly 2-year layoff and put up Durant’s averages is the best player in the world, and the same can be said of the reigning Finals MVP.

LeBron will still rank higher all-time than both Giannis and Durant once it’s all said and done, or at least that’s what it seems, but there should be no shame in not being the best basketball player on Earth at nearly 38 years of age. You have nothing left to prove, LeBron.
