Steve Nash Said This To Kevin Durant About Debating Fans On Twitter: “Do You Know What I Respect About LeBron James?”

Kevin Durant has had a pretty wild career so far. From his days as the hometown hero for the OKC Thunder to becoming a hated villain in Golden State, he has experienced plenty of different narratives over the years.

In one recent story that has come out regarding the Nets superstar, Matt Sullivan, author of ‘Can’t Knock The Hustle’ sat down with Steve Nash, where they talked about some of the challenges Durant was facing during his time with the Warriors.

According to the interview, here’s the exchange KD had with Nash:

“You know what I respect about LeBron? I respect the fact that when he got to Miami and he got sick of the narratives, sick of the haters, all the talk. You know what he did? LeBron just said fuck it and was great. Same with Michael, same with Kobe. Same with all the greats. They all had to say fuck it and then they were all on that next level. So you know what you gotta do? You just gotta say ‘fuck it’ like LeBron did.”

According to the Nets coach, he once even tried to get Durant to stop beefing with fans on the Twitterverse.

Nash told Sullivan he tried to get KD to stop beefing with kids on twitter but he failed. He said “you could just see the strain on his face that third year on the Warriors. He was staring at that phone all the time.” So he can’t get over this, he’s out here having GOAT “top 5” debates, trying to make sure he’s in that conversation on twitter. He says he’s over it but he’s not. And I don’t think he’s really changed since the Bay. The only difference is Brooklyn lets him be him and doesn’t get in his face like Kerr did.

Durant has become really combative and confrontational since leaving the Thunder years ago. Instead of ignoring hate and criticism, he faces it head-on, often leading to a war on social media.

LeBron James, on the other hand, does it differently. He lets his play do the talking.

In the end, it seems that will always be the greatest difference between the two.
