The Golden State Warriors Become The First Team To Reach 6 NBA Finals In 8 Years Since Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls

There is no denying that the Golden State Warriors have been the defining team of the modern NBA. The Golden State Warriors were and still are, a dynasty, winning 3 NBA championships and reaching 5 NBA Finals since 2015.

And after last night, they could be looking to improve those numbers as they reached the NBA Finals for the 6th time in 8 years, a feat only matched by one of, if not the greatest dynasty in NBA history.

The Golden State Warriors are the first team to reach 6 NBA Finals in 8 years since the Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls reached 6 NBA Finals between 1991 and 1998, losing out on 2 years in 1994 and 1995.

The Warriors reached 5 consecutive NBA Finals between 2015 and 2019, and are going back to the NBA Finals for the first time in 3 years, that too after missing the playoffs for 2 seasons in a row.

Warriors are now the first franchise to reach the NBA Finals 6 times in an 8-season span since the Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen Bulls from 91-98. Unreal

The Warriors reaching the NBA Finals after missing the playoffs last year makes them the third team in the last 3 years to reach the NBA Finals after missing the playoffs the year before, joining the 2020 Los Angeles Lakers and 2021 Phoenix Suns in doing so.

The Golden State Warriors will be hoping to reestablish their dynasty with a win in the NBA Finals this year. After the 2019 NBA Finals, it looked as though their team would struggle with the departure of Kevin Durant, followed by multiple serious injuries to Klay Thompson.

But after 2 years away from the playoffs, the Warriors have shown why they are considered one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history, as they reached the NBA Finals once again.

The Warriors will have a tough task winning it all, but Draymond Green already predicted the Celtics to face them in the Finals, and the Warriors lifting the NBA championship when all is said and done.
