When it comes to the world of sports media, Shaquille O’Neal is probably one of the best in the business. While the NBA legend may not provide the most in-depth analysis, his humor and candor have made him a fan-favorite in the NBA community.

This week, O’Neal went viral again after losing a bet to his co-host, Ernie Johnson. The bet involved the college football national championship, which saw Georgia win their second straight title. As the loser, O’Neal was forced to eat frog legs as everyone sat around to watch.

Unsurprisingly, Shaq handled it like a boss and ate the snack with a completely straight face.

Hilariously enough, O’Neal seemed to actually enjoy the frog legs, and Charles Barkley was eyeing them like he wanted a bite or two himself. For those that don’t know, the meal is actually considered a delicacy in some places, although eating frog legs is rare in the states.

Overall, it was a great and hilarious moment from the TNT crew, which we’ve come to expect from, arguably, the best NBA half-time show in the league.

Shaquille O’Neal Explains Why He Chose TNT Over ESPN

As a natural comedian and one of the greatest basketball players who ever lived, O’Neal could have gone anywhere once he retired from the NBA. Ultimately, he chose to join Turner Sports even over bigger networks like ESPN.

It appears that O’Neal knew what he was getting into when he signed with TNT. Earlier, ESPN was in the news for the Rachel Nichols controversy. The scandal put both the journalist and the network in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.

In his docu, he spoke about how he picked the network over ESPN and was rather blunt in his statement.

“My worst day at Turner would be a good day,” O’Neal said during SHAQ. “My worst day at ESPN would cause me to get fired.” (via Awful Announcing)

Unlike a lot of sports shows in the field, ‘Inside the NBA’ really lets the hosts say and do what they want, and it has led to a rich archive of awesome, wholesome, and memorable moments on the set.

No doubt, with all four of those guys signed for several more years, those moments are going to keep coming in abundance.

For now, let’s just appreciate the crazy things they already have each other doing every game day.
