The Los Angeles Lakers looked like they would cruise to a win over the Chicago Bulls when they entered the fourth quarter with a 16-point lead. However, a 44-point explosion by Chicago culminated with Josh Giddey shooting a last-ditch half-court three to seal the win. The shot went in, and the Bulls walked out 119-117 winners against a stunned Lakers franchise.

Fans were in shock over how the game ended, with Giddey walking away as the hero and leading the Bulls in a stunning season sweep over the Lakers.

“The final 12 seconds of Lakers-Bulls is right up there with the craziest sequence you could possibly have. I’ve watched it a couple times on replay and I still can’t believe it happened,” said ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, who was just as stunned at how the game ended as us all.

“Bulls/Lakers just had one of the craziest ends to a basketball game I have ever seen. I cannot believe what I just witnessed,” said one fan who loved the ending of the game.

“20 years as a Laker fan, never seen a blown game like that in my life. Catastrophic loss, what the f**k did I just watch?” said another Lakers fans who was in disbelief

“Why the f**k did we just let Giddey jog into this shit like he was practicing pregame?” said one furious Lakers fan about the defense they played on this heave.

“Gamed by ‘Giddey, I’ve seen it all man,” said one fan who was shocked at the outcome.

“The Lakers be getting too comfortable, and they be out there bullshi**** for stretches. They deserve to lose,” said another fan who believes the Lakers deserve to lose this game.

The Lakers will go home devastated after this loss. Austin Reaves led the team with 30 points (10-17 FG) and what could’ve been the game-winner before Giddey’s heave. Luka Doncic had 25 points (8-22 FG), 10 rebounds, and eight assists, while LeBron James had 17 points (8-20 FG), five rebounds, and 12 assists. Jaxson Hayes had a great game with 19 points (9-11 FG) and eight rebounds.

Giddey ended the night with 25 points (8-19 FG), 14 rebounds, and 11 assists to notch a triple-double in the win. Coby White led the Bulls in scoring with 26 points (9-20 FG) and nine assists, complemented by Kevin Huerter’s 21 points (8-17 FG), six rebounds, and five assists. Nikola Vucevic put up 14 points (6-10 FG) and eight rebounds, while rookie Matas Buzelis had 12 points (3-10 FG) and seven rebounds.

This loss drops the Lakers’ record to 44-29 while bringing the Bulls closer to .500 with a 33-40 record. The Lakers lose ground in the race for the No. 2 seed, now three games behind the Houston Rockets and 1.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets in the No. 3 seed.
