LeBron James seems to be preparing himself for life beyond retirement. The 40-year-old Lakers superstar is engaging in all the ‘side missions’ like playing golf and appearing on live streams when he should be in training for the upcoming season. But as he is injured at the moment, he can do as he pleases.
LeBron James appeared on Kai Cenat’s live stream recently, as promised earlier in the summer, to cut the famous Twitch streamer’s hair. But he had much more planned for his visit than just chopping off the streamer’s dreads. Cenat’s live stream reportedly had the highest concurrent viewership in its history.
He reached 1.1 million live streamers for the first time, as his previous record was 712.600, and it is all thanks to the King. To commemorate this achievement, LeBron James gifted Kai Cenat an Audemars Piguet watch that has a market value of $200,000. He did not forget Cenat’s crew, as he also gifted them all unreleased sneakers from his brand with Nike, the LeBron 23s.

“I mean, you told me one million. You exceeded that. When I saw you hit 1 million, I saw the excitement on all you motherf****ers’ faces, bro. That sh** meant something to me… I’m proud of you. I’m proud of the whole goddamn gang,” said James as Cenat and his friends went wild over the gifts from the Lakers forward. The watch is made in the same colorway as the Lakers’ jersey.
LeBron James Drops Epic Motivational Speech
“If you’re somebody growing up without a mom, without a dad, without siblings, without a passion, without a goal, without life in general, bro, it’s not over for you. The man above never gives us more than we can handle as individuals. No matter if you’re a female, a male, no matter who you are in life, everyone has a purpose. You just have to find that purpose and then tap into that purpose.”
“You’re going to need somebody. None of us can do it by ourselves. And this is a true testament of the last 30 days that we’ve seen someone not be able to do it by himself. Lock in. Believe in what you believe in. Nobody else matters. You have to hold yourself accountable. You have to hold yourself to your truth. You have to hold yourself to your beliefs. And always believe in the power of the man above because nobody in the history of life has been able to do it by themselves, nobody.”
“Don’t worry about the haters. They ain’t sh**. Don’t worry about the naysayers, cuz they ain’t sh**. Whenever you’re feeling a way about yourself, you look in the mirror and you say, “You are the only thing that matters.”
“There’s a good quote by Theodore Roosevelt that I always believe in and always look at. It’s called the man in the arena. And the basis of the quote is about ‘all the doubters and the naysayers can say everything that they want to say, but they have never stepped inside the arena. So they don’t even know what it feels like to have blood, sweat, and tears, right? So how can they tell you what the hell to do if they’ve never done it, right?’ At the end of the day, be true, be loyal, be perseverant, and just love yourself, man. King James signing off.”
As an athlete who has proven almost every critic wrong in every humanly way possible, James knows what he is talking about when it comes to dealing with haters and people trying to anchor down your ambitions. We still have no clarity on when James plans to retire, especially since he claimed he does not plan to wait for his younger son to be drafted. But it is encouraging to see that James can even use his words to motivate anyone, so much so that he would even be valuable for the Lakers as a rotational bench player who can motivate and lead the team even from the sidelines.
