LeBron James remains a free agent today, and we still aren’t sure when he’s going to make his big decision. Not only is James keeping these teams waiting, but he hasn’t spoken to any of them either.

Teams are having to pitch their cases to James indirectly. They have been told to send voice notes to Klutch Sports Group CEO Rich Paul, who then forwards them to his client. In some cases, teams have had their owner, president, or general manager record a voice memo.

With all this in mind, San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet “leaked” the team’s voice memo pitch to James on YouTube. It was Kornet himself speaking, and it was downright hilarious.

“Hey, LeBron,” Kornet began. “Mr. James. LeBron LeBron. It’s Luke Kornet, No. 7 of the San Antonio Spurs. You yelled at me a little bit last week or last year. Anyhoo, yeah, I just wanted to kind of extend the invitation to come over here to San Antonio. We got a great thing going. A lot of young talent, it’s easy place to live, tax-free, that’s always something.

“You can play alongside a generational player and Victor [Wembanyama], too,” Kornet said. “Anyways, yeah, SeaWorld, La Panaderia… It’s hitting, bussin, hitting, bussin bussin. I think you’d love it. We have a guest room available if you need some time to kind of figure things out on your end.

“We’d be open to open our doors,” Kornet continued. “Also, great place for kids… You should just come swing on by, try it out. Love to have you. I think it could be a swell old time. You’re chasing number five, and we’ve got five, so looking for number six for us, so we’re kind of all on the same ballpark.”

Kornet also hilariously said he previously had his agent send something to James to get signed. The 30-year-old requested that he find it, sign it, and send it back.

Kornet, who averaged 6.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in 2025-26, has a great sense of humor. He brought up James yelling at him at the start, and he was referring to a poster dunk when the Spurs faced the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Cup on Dec. 10, 2025.

James sure was hyped up after that dunk and yelled at Kornet for quite some time. The Spurs won 132-119 on that night, though, and they did a whole lot of winning last season. The Spurs finished with a 62-20 record and made it all the way to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the New York Knicks in five games.

For a young group to even get that far was highly impressive. Kornet thinks James should join this exciting team, which has generational players like himself and Victor Wembanyama. He definitely has a career in stand-up comedy.

Kornet also listed why San Antonio is a place worth coming to for James, but the man would disagree. The 41-year-old has said there is nothing to do in San Antonio. It definitely isn’t an attractive destination for him.

Despite Kornet’s best efforts, it doesn’t look like James will end up with the Spurs. They aren’t among the reported frontrunners, and it doesn’t appear as if they are interested in bringing in the 22-time All-Star either.

So, Kornet will be playing against James next season, too, and if he isn’t careful, he’ll get posterized again.
