Nick Young Says D’Angelo Russell Is The Most Annoying Teammate He Has Ever Played With

2 Min Read

In an appearance on the “Load Management” podcast, former Laker Nick “Swaggy P” Young revealed the most annoying teammate he’s ever played with — and the answer is exactly who you’d expect.

Young did not elaborate on why he chose D’Angelo Russell, but does he need to?

In one of the biggest moments of the 2016-17 NBA season, D’Angelo Russell recorded Young (who was engaged at the time) on tape admitting infidelity with a 19-year-old girl he met at a club. The video got out, and it created a story that took over the Lakers season. Russell was quickly isolated by his teammates as the media and fans criticized him for stitching on his teammate.

Russell was eventually traded from the Lakers and we all just kind of forgot about that whole thing. At least, everyone except Young, who apparently still credits D’Lo as being his most annoying teammate.

Nowadays, the Lakers are dealing with bigger things and as they gun for a title, the age of “prank wars” and locker room dramatics must seem like an eternity ago. Meanwhile, Russell has hopefully learned his lesson after the whole ordeal.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like his relationship with Swaggy P will be getting better any time soon.
