Nuggets President Tim Connelly On Nikola Jokic: “He Is Beach Ready. He Has Abs.”

2 Min Read

With the NBA’s return officially in place, teams and players around the league are gearing up for their shot at the title.

With Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Paul Millsap, the Nuggets are primed to be one of the Western elites when the season returns — but how far they can go is anyone’s guess.

Last campaign, they made it to the Western Conference Semis before losing to the underdog Portland Blazers in seven games. If they want any hope of raising that Larry O’Brien, they’ll need their bets from everyone.

The good news is, Nikola Jokic (their main star player) seems to be ready to roll. According to Nuggets President Tim Connelly, the dude has “got abs.”

“He’s beach ready. He has abs,” Connelly said. He showed up in great shape. He’s sitting there. He sent me a picture. No shirt on. He’s got abs. I’ve never seen him have abs before.”

Whether or not the abs are an exaggeration by the team owner is something we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves, but from the pictures we have seen online, it does seem like the Joker has lost some weight.

With a healthy and fit big man, the Nuggets may be ready to shock the world this season. Of course, it won’t be easy and there will be a lot of obstacles in the way. But the new and improved Jokic is certainly helping improve their odds.
