Patrick Beverley has bounced around various teams in the NBA over the last three years, playing for six different franchises. His last permanent home was with the Los Angeles Clippers, a team his Milwaukee Bucks beat last night. Beverley was overjoyed at the win, sharing a video where he lambasted his former team.

“Weak a** Clippers, beat they motherf***ing a**. F**k outta here.”

Beverley’s emotions were visible for everyone to see when the seconds ran out the clock after the Bucks had completed this 15-point comeback without Giannis Antetokounmpo

Beverley also sent out a tweet, hyping up the next episode of his podcast where he’ll presumably discuss this game.

“This one is gonna be good …… Belt 2 A$$.”

Beverley started the game alongside Damian Lillard in the backcourt, ending the night with 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and four steals. He was a defensive menace and used his high activity to make a lasting impact on the game without Giannis on the floor.

Lillard going off for 41 points sealed the deal, but Beverley’s contributions were crucial, as the team extended their win streak to six games and took control of the No. 2 seed in the East.

Damian Lillard Opened Up On Patrick Beverley’s Impact On The Bucks

One of the main talking points around the Bucks after they traded for Beverley in the winter was whether he could get along with Damian Lillard. The pair have a history with each other but buried the hatchet to compete for a title in Milwaukee

Lillard opened up on the impact of Beverley on the squad, someone he often finds himself sharing the backcourt with.

“Pat is somebody who just knows who he is. He knows what he brings to the table. I think there’s a lot of guys in our league, if they had that, we’d see a lot better from them. … That belief is more than half the battle. But his physicality, he’s disruptive, he’s irritating guys out there. He can get a big rebound, a big deflection, or hit a big three. You never know how it’s gonna come but he’s always engaged and always on edge. He’s always talking, in huddles he’s got something to say. On the court, he’s got something to say. He’s gonna bring something to the game, you just don’t know what it’s gonna be on a given night. Tonight, he did a lot of things well.”

Beverley is averaging 6.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists with the Bucks this season, joining at the trade deadline after being shipped by the Philadelphia 76ers. His presence on the team has given them a defensive edge they were lacking. Under Doc Rivers, the Bucks have returned to being one of the league’s best defenses with players like Beverley being a crucial part of that success.

This wasn’t just a revenge game for Beverley, who has already gone viral for his reaction after a win over the Clippers, but also for Doc Rivers. The former Clippers coach saw assistant Ty Lue replace him and this win will give him a lot of fuel for the final part of the season, where the Bucks hope to emerge as the biggest contenders to the Celtics in the East.
