Richard Jefferson Jokingly Destroys Tim Duncan On Live TV: “He Has Been Carried By People His Entire Life!”

After picking up his first coaching win, legendary NBA big man Tim Duncan found himself the subject of conversation in the media world.

During one episode of ESPN’s “Get Up!” morning show, former Richard Jefferson put Duncan in his crosshairs, as he (half-jokingly) roasted him for being “carried his whole career.”

Here’s what he said:

“Tim Duncan has been carried by people his entire life. Except for his hairdresser. Tim Duncan has been getting credit for so many things that he hasn’t done. Even tonight. This is his first win? He didn’t do anything. This will Will, this was Becky Hammon. He said he just stood up and was running his mouth good things happen. He;’s been carried by Pop, Tony, Manu, Bruce Bowen, and now here he gets his first coaching win? He does nothing. Waste of a player, waste of time. Honestly, he’s the reason what the SPurs are struggling this year.”

By the end of his rant, his co-host, Jay Williams, was already walking off the set.

It was a clear troll job by RJ, who is actually pretty tight with the Spurs legend. While it is true that Duncan was fortunate enough to be surrounded by brilliant minds and talented players throughout his career, it doesn’t do anything to take away what he was able to accomplish.

Besides, has there ever been a Championship player who hasn’t had some great teammates b their side?

Anybody who knows basketball knows how great Tim Duncan was. Over 19 years int. e NBA, he was among the most reliable and consistent superstars there was. By the time he retired in 2016, he was a 15x All-Star, 15x All-NBA player, 2x MVP, and 5x Champion.

He averaged 19 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 3 assists on 50% shooting with the Spurs.
