Recently, former Pelicans star JJ Redick expressed some major displeasure at his former team for not keeping their word of trading him to the Northeast.

It’s definitely understandable why he’s so upset — the guy just wants to be close to his family, after all. On one hand, David Griffin gave Redick his word — which he didn’t follow through on.

On the other hand, the NBA is a business, and if the Pelicans want to make a trade they feel is right for their team, they have a right to do that.

Obviously, the matter is a bit controversial, and it will be interesting to see if Redick responds to the words of his former colleagues.
