Shaq On The Nuggets: “The World Should Know Denver’s Not Going Nowhere Unless You Put Them Away.”

2 Min Read

The Denver Nuggets have been overlooked all season long. Even with Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and young star Michael Porter Jr., the Nuggs have been considered huge underdogs compared to other Western elites.

This season, however, has been somewhat of a proving ground for them. After beating the Jazz and upsetting the Clippers, the team finds themselves just three wins away from beating the Lakers and moving on to the NBA Finals.

Needless to say, it’s time to take them seriously, and, on TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” Shaquille O’Neal expressed as much:

“Listen, you should know, the world should know, everybody should know, Denver’s not goin’ nowhere unless you put them away. Them being down 0-2, 0-3 doesn’t matter to them. Now we have a series, we don’t know what’s gonna happen from here.”

As the first team in NBA history to come back and win from down 3-1 for two series in a row, the Nuggets have already proven their resilience.

Against this Lakers team, though, they will need the best from all of their players, especially Jokic and Murray.

But, no matter how this season ends for them, they have certainly earned respect from everyone around the association, including Shaquille O’Neal.
