Shaquille O’Neal is regarded as the most dominant player of all time by most fans in the NBA community.
The Big Aristotle used to thrash backboards for fun during his career. But that wasn’t the extent of his strength. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live, O’Neal shared how he once destroyed a car by one hand. Shaq had to spend a day in jail for his actions.
“Yes, I did,” Shaquille O’Neal replied to Jimmy Kimmel. “I remember it was a beige Toyota Corolla, it was some guy’s that had got stolen, but it was just right there in front. So when I was doing it and the cops roll by, and saw me doing it, they thought I stole it, but luckily the cops that rolled by were my uncles. So they took me, and they just sat me in jail for a day, the whole day, the whole night and said, ‘Hey, you have a decision to make. You can either start listening to us and going the right way or go the wrong way.’ So after that day, I kind of chilled out, but that’s a true story.”

O’Neal revealed that the incident took place when he was a kid. Thankfully, Shaq learned his lesson and didn’t continue down that path.
Spending just a single night in jail was enough for a young Shaq to focus on his life and become a basketball superstar.
Shaquille O’Neal Scared His Accountant After $250K In Coins Were Missing From His Car Wash Business
Shaquille O’Neal went from being a problematic kid to a smart business. The Los Angeles Lakers legend truly came a long way in his life.
When Shaq initially started investing, he obviously didn’t have the acumen to run the businesses that he possesses today. A prime example of it was when Shaq scared his accountant after he took profits from his car business and kept them at his home.
“I was being an irresponsible business owner,” O’Neal said. “I had other monies coming in. I was paying my bills with other monies, but I was just having too much fun, just having too much fun. I have them [coins] in the house. I would get the coins and quarters, and I just take them home and put them in my safe. But so much money was coming in, and I didn’t think you could take quarters and dimes to the bank. I didn’t want to look like I was breaking into vending machines. I would just take them and dump them in plastic bags and pillowcases and just put them in the house.”
The 51-year-old always finds ways to entertain fans with his amazing life stories. We hope to hear more of these stories from the NBA legend in the future as well.
