Shaquille O’Neal Wasn’t Happy When He Finds Out How Many 50-Point Games He’s Had In The NBA Playoffs

2 Min Read

Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t pleased to know he recorded zero 50-point playoff games in his career. The Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat icon, was an unstoppable force on the court, but he could never achieve this.

The Big Diesel scored 61 points on the Los Angeles Clippers in 2000, but that was a regular-season match. One would imagine that he was able to record a 50-piece at least one in the postseason, but that is not the case.

In an edition of TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA,’ Ernie Johnson told Dominique Wilkins and Charles Barkley how many 50-point playoff games they had in their careers, with both players satisfied with their numbers.

When the host asked Shaq how many 50-piece matches he had, the 4x NBA champion was surprised to know he had zero.

Ernie: “How many 50-point games did you have?”

Shaq: “I’mma at least say 1.”

Ernie: “No, you didn’t! And NOW we can go to break!”

Shaq was visibly upset when he learned this piece of info about him, while Wilkins and Barkley laughed at Johnson’s roast.

This is something common in this show, but O’Neal often gets sensitive when he can’t get away with things. Johnson really did him wrong with this one, even asking him how many 50-PT games he recorded in the postseason.

The exchange was really funny to everybody not named Shaquille, and that makes it even funnier. Still, Shaq had his revenge after that, going off on his co-hosts more than once.
