Last season, the Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. The team was never at its 100% due to constant injury issues to their star players. This year the team is looking to get their revenge and reclaim the NBA championship.
In efforts to achieve that goal, the franchise has been quite busy during the offseason. They have bolstered their strength and look ready to compete once again.
The only concern that most fans and sports pundits have is the age of the roster. The team is one of the oldest teams in the history of the league. But that doesn’t mean they cannot be a dangerous squad, after all, they are just 0.4 years older than the 1998 Chicago Bulls.
Speaking of their age, once the Lakers sign Rajon Rondo, they will have 6 out of the 12 oldest players in the entire NBA. Here is the list of the 12 oldest players in the NBA right now:
- Udonis Haslem (Miami Heat) – 41 years old
- Andre Iguodala (Golden State Warriors) – 37 years old

It might seem like the purple and gold have gone a bit overboard with signing experienced players. During the postseason, this experience can do wonders for them.
All the above-mentioned players have seen their share of playoff basketball in their careers. If the squad can remain healthy during the regular season, it will be hard to beat them during the 2022 playoffs.
