  • Tyler Herro has been named as a part of Miami’s trade offer for Damian Lillard all offseason
  • On social media, Herro hilariously took a shot at the Miami Heat
  • Tyler Herro also joked about buying a Damian Lillard Milwaukee Bucks jersey

The Damian Lillard saga has come to an end and it did not end up with him joining the Miami Heat as many thought he might. But despite the trade never going through, it seriously impacted the life of one player, Tyler Herro.

Tyler Herro was the NBA’s Sixth Man Of The Year in 2022 and has been involved in two Finals runs for the Miami Heat. However, his name was first in every trade scenario and he was actively shopped by the Heat.

The 23-year-old hasn’t taken it well, to say the least. After a funny social media post from ESPN congratulated him for staying with the Heat, Herro responded hilariously by taking a shot at the organization and writing, “Until next summer…”

Tyler Herro has averaged 20.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game for the Miami Heat during the last two seasons. But the team’s desire to land a superstar means he cannot feel comfortable in his role with the franchise.

Now that Damian Lillard has joined the Milwaukee Bucks, the Miami Heat will need to figure out what to do with Tyler Herro. He is not pleased with the way he’s been made to seem expendable, and the Heat will need to find a solution for that.

What makes this entire situation a lot more funny is that Tyler Herro was born and raised in Greenfield, Wisconsin, which is a city in Milwaukee County.

So when the Damian Lillard trade to the Bucks was announced, Herro hilariously added that he would be grabbing a Milwaukee jersey with Lillard’s name on it.

“In all seriousness… As a kid from Milwaukee, I’m grabbing me a Dame jersey,” Herro said on social media.

The entire experience has to have been poor for Tyler Herro, who has turned into a borderline All-Star as a scorer in the NBA. There are glaring weaknesses in his game, but to be shopped around in this manner by Miami has to have been hurtful.

Damian Lillard joining the Milwaukee Bucks doesn’t ensure that Tyler Herro is safe either, though. With the likes of Zach LaVine, Jrue Holiday, and Donovan Mitchell still available, he could be moved at any point shortly.

Tyler Herro Has Posted Many Cryptic Messages Throughout The Entire Saga

The 23-year-old Tyler Herro has a long career ahead of him, but his time with the Miami Heat might have come to an end after all this. He has made his displeasure evident at different points this offseason.

Tyler Herro apparently threw shade at the Miami Heat when it seemed like they were very close to getting Damian Lillard. His Instagram story, which showcased him on a private plane, was captioned, “Ain’t no friends in this business.”

Now that the Damian Lillard trade has been foiled, the Miami Heat would do well to get Tyler Herro back on board. The fact that he seems to be cracking jokes on social media could be a good sign for them.

The Miami Heat still have Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and a seemingly never-ending supply of solid role players that can help them make championship runs. Only time will tell what role Tyler Herro will have to play, though.
