Dennis Schroder Explains Why Kyrie Irving Was Ejected During Lakers-Nets Game: “I Didn’t Know At First That We Got Double Technicals When He Came Up To Me. After That, I Kept Asking Him, What He Is Talking About? And He Kept Talking, Kept Talking…”

Dennis Schroder and Kyrie Irving starred in a very curious and controversial moment on Saturday night when both players were ejected from the Brooklyn Nets-Los Angeles Lakers game just for talking. That’s right, they were just talking, exchanging some words before the referees sent them to the locker room.

They got into it, facing each other and one ref had to get in the middle of them and separate the players. They didn’t stop there and continued talking, which granted Irving the ejection from the game. Schroder tried to add more fuel to the fire and he had the same fate as Kyrie.

Nobody really knew what happened between them but Schroder tried to shed light on this whole situation, describing how things went and what took the refs to toss him and Kyrie from the match during the 3rd quarter. At first sight, it didn’t look like they were deserving of the ejection but referees have been making some questionable decisions in recent days.

“I didn’t know at first that we got double technicals when he came up to me. After that, I kept asking him, What he is talking about? And he kept talking, kept talking… Then he got kicked out, or got the second technical, and I mean I said ‘Bye.’ I don’t even know if I waved at him. I probably did. And then [the official] said, ‘You’re gone, too, because you waved at him.’ And I didn’t even know that I got the first technical when he came up to me,” the point guard said, via Michael Corvo of Clutch Points.

This was a very silly reason to dismiss both these guys but the officials are making some eye-raising decisions in recent games. This was another proof of that and the Lakers once again had a player ejected from the game after Montrezl Harrell had the same gate during a matchup against the Toronto Raptors earlier this week.

The purple and gold aren’t the dangerous team they can be with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the floor, but this team can do a lot to try to get under your skin and win games using different strategies.
