Chris Webber Says Joel Embiid Is The Player That Most Resembles Him In Today’s NBA

Chris Webber has selected Joel Embiid as his closest version in today’s NBA. The Philadelphia 76ers’ big man didn’t have the easiest path, but he’s shown his value every year, becoming one of the biggest figures in the league.

He can do anything on the court, getting a lot of praise for his performances. Now Webber signed his name on that list, naming Embiid as his modern-day version. Talking with The Athletic, Webber revealed who he thinks resembles him the most.

“Maybe Joel Embiid because he’s one of the few that can post up, take you off the dribble and shoot the 3. So his game. But besides that, it’s really hard to find someone that really dominates in the midrange as a big fella. It’s a little tough to see at times, but maybe Embiid is the closest,” Webber explained.

JoJo has become one of the biggest names around the league in recent years. Unfortunately, things haven’t clicked for him and the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, the player keeps getting better, trying to win a championship with the team. Ben Simmons has failed to become the right wingman, but Embiid isn’t giving up.

Next season will be important for him, either with or without Ben Simmons on the Sixers roster.

Webber is getting ready to become immortal when he gets inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. It took longer than expected, but the player is finally joining the biggest legends of the game.
