Paul Pierce is back in the eye of the media storm. After his controversial exit from ESPN earlier this year, Pierce has been the subject of significant media scrutiny, especially because of how he has been behaving since he left the sport’s media group.
Pierce was one of the primary NBA analysts on ESPN, a valuable asset who had experience playing at the highest level in the NBA. During his career in the NBA, Pierce was an All-Star, All-NBA player who won an NBA championship and Finals MVP with the Boston Celtics.
On top of that, Pierce also had experience playing against some of the best in the league like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and many others. So he did bring a lot to the table. But after a risqué Instagram Live, ESPN felt they had to distance themselves from Pierce.
Pierce has remained unapologetic about the incident and has chosen to point the finger at other people and players that he feels have done the same thing. So ‘The Truth’ really isn’t bothered about trying to salvage his relationship.
On top of that, Pierce recently came out and exposed ESPN, noting that they get instructions to consistently talk about LeBron James, as he is a topic that garners great interest from the viewers of ESPN’s programming.
Despite the controversy, he remains defiant, sending a message to the world showing his thoughts on his controversial activities.
Pierce took to Twitter to send a message saying that he would rather have a close circle who truly loves him than be liked by everyone else. On top of that, he thinks that it is more important to be known than well-liked.

Pierce has been on the receiving end of significant public criticisms of late not just for his ESPN comments. Among many things, Pierce is being slammed for making suggestive comments to a waitress at a poker game. But from the looks of it, Pierce is sticking to his guns.
