The NBA, of course, has seen some of these cases this season, with players receiving a lot of money for not playing. If you want to make things worse, some of them have received a ridiculous amount for just a handful of points.

Ballers who didn’t play much because of injuries, they decided to sit out until they found a new team or just because they didn’t have plenty of minutes to play. Here are the 10 players who made the most money per point this campaign.

10. Dewan Hernandez – $224,578
Dewan Hernandez is part of the Toronto Raptors organization, but he mostly spent time in the G-League this season. He still managed to get some minutes in the big leagues, playing four games with the Canadians, scoring 4 points total. With an $898,310 contract, he earned $224,578 per every point he scored this term with the current NBA champions.
9. Andre Iguodala – $281,724
Andre Iguodala started this season as part of the Memphis Grizzlies after being traded from the Golden State Warriors. The veteran swingman made it clear that he won’t be playing with the Grizzlies and that he would suit up if they didn’t trade him. In the end, they found the Miami Heat, where Iggy currently plays trying to help that team to reach important things. Having scored 61 points total this season, with a $17,185,185, Iguodala has won $281,724 per each point scored this season.
8. Evan Turner – $300,106
After signing a four-year, $70 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2016, Evan Turner’s career went downhill. This season he only played 19 games, with the Atlanta Hawks, scoring 62 points in total. He was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in February, but he didn’t play a single minute with them. Making $18,606,55 this season, Turner received $300,106 per every point he scored.
7. Nicolas Batum – $323,610
The Charlotte Hornets didn’t hesitate to offer Nicolas Batum a huge deal after his first year with the team. The Frenchman became a big figure in the Queen City, but things haven’t been in his favor in recent years. Injuries and the new approach of Michael Jordan’s team to develop young talent has changed Batum’s status at the Spectrum Center. Having played 22 games this season, scoring 79 points with a $25,565,217 contract, Batum has made $323,610 per point.
6. Udonis Haslem – $324,113
Udonis Haslem is living his last days as an active player and the Miami Heat icon is playing on a minimum deal. That doesn’t mean he’s not getting ‘overpaid’ for the tiny amount of points he’s scored this campaign. In three games this season, Haslem scored 5 points for the Heat. Set to make $2,564,753 this term, he’s earned $324,113 for his points.
5. Ryan Anderson – $324,113
Ryan Anderson was a big figure for the Houston Rockets during their biggest runs trying to win the Western Conference and beat the Golden State Warriors. Still young, Anderson is not part of the league right now. He only played two games with the Rockets this season, scoring five points. Receiving over $1.6 million before getting waived, Anderson made $324,113 for every point he made.
4. Nigel Williams-Goss – $375,000
Nigel William-Goss made a lot of money this year scoring less than 10 points for the Utah Jazz. Williams-Goss is currently inactive after picking out a quad injury. He hasn’t been part of a game since January. Before that, he had played 9 games with the Jazz, scoring 4 points. Set to make $1.5 million, Nigel made $375K for every shot he made this season.

Sophomore Zhaire Smith had some participation with the Philadelphia 76ers this season, but he spent most of the time with the G-League team. During his time with Philly, he played seven games, scoring 8 points. Set to receive $3,058,800 this term, he made $382,350 per point.
2. Stephen Curry – $386,844
Stephen Curry is one of the highest-paid stars in the NBA right now. After all the great things he’s done with the Golden State Warriors, Curry penned an historical deal with the Dubs a couple of years ago that would see him become the first player to be paid $40 million this term. After breaking his hand at the beginning of the season, Curry only played 5 with the Warriors, scoring 104 points. Seeing his contract, he made $386,844 per point in this campaign. That’s because he’s Stephen Curry; if it wasn’t the greatest shooter of all time, the number would be much higher.
1. Chandler Parsons – $1,793,037
Chandler Parsons is the prime sample of a player that makes money without playing. It’s not even because he wants things to be like that; Parsons has suffered severe injuries that have affected his game and his life. Back in 2016, he signed a 4-year, $94.4 million with the Memphis Grizzlies, expected to lead the team to do big things. Well, none of that happened and Parsons just jumped around the league with teams getting his hefty contract and a player that couldn’t play. This season he played 5 games scoring 14 points. Set to make $25,102,511, he received $1,793,037 per every point he made. Big yikes.
