Influencer and content creator Ashley Nevel spoke recently about the experience of attending a Michael Jordan party. She explained how selective and secretive the invite process is, before discussing in detail the layout of the party, including the food and drinks stations, and the private concerts Jordan sets up for his big events.

“What’s crazy about Michael Jordan parties is – you’ll get a text, about 30 minutes before you’re supposed to arrive. He doesn’t want anyone knowing where it is. So he only provides the location to people that are on the list. If you just happen to be with someone that’s on the list, you can get into the party…”

“They were like ‘Ohh, we’re going to Michael Jordan’s party, come with us’ – just being in the right place at the right time. It was in a random location, I can’t even tell you where it was. It was in the middle of nowhere.”

“He just rented a big plot of land and had a huge tent, one of those white, enclosed tents. He had different stations of food, he had everything possible there, and you could just go to all these little stations and get free food. Free drinks, different bars everywhere, you have a concert, different people performing. The networking was awesome. Michael Jordan knows how to party.”

Nevel was smart enough to not disclose who brought her along to Michael Jordan’s party, as that unknown person might not get an invite again if MJ knew this information had gotten public.

Michael Jordan’s Parties Sound Incredible

This is one of the rare examples of fans getting to know what a Michael Jordan party is like Jordan is notoriously secretive, and doesn’t even use social media. So fans very rarely get a glimpse into his lifestyle and the events he attends. In fact, this story from Nevel only confirms everything we know about Michael Jordan’s nightlife.

Larry Hughes once shared a story of partying with Michael Jordan at a nightclub. Hughes was left astounded by the nightlife Jordan led, and the luxury his status and wealth were able to afford him.

Fans got a decent glimpse into what a Jordan party looks like last year, when MJ’s friend and former rival Magic Johnson shared pictures from Jordan’s 60th birthday party that he and his wife attended.

Jordan’s secrecy when it comes to his nightlife makes sense considering the scrutiny he experienced during his time in the NBA.

A simple trip to the casino or to the golf links would result in several stories about alleged gambling addictions, and Jordan has learned his lesson when it comes to his extracurricular activities becoming subjects for the media to talk about.

With the incredible wealth that Jordan has amassed over his lifetime, it is no surprise that he makes his parties very exclusive events. You have to be in close relationships with him for him to want people around at a celebratory event and takes every measure that he can to make sure that his parties do not become gossip fodder.
