  • He revealed that the weakest move that any player can make on the court is to beg for the ball
  • Stephen Curry explained the various other things players can do to add value on the court

Stephen Curry is the GOAT when it comes to shooting the basketball. Having taken and made the most three-pointers in the history of the league, Curry has never had to ask anyone for the ball when he’s on the court. It just finds its way to him.

Stephen Curry was recently training some young players at his training camp, and explaining how they can add value on offense. And while doing so, he named what he thinks is the ‘weakest move in basketball.’

“I’m going to try to hammer the point home. But as you keep flipping positions, as you keep getting a feel, the last thing we can do out here, the last thing we can do, is getting open and you don’t get it, begging and begging and begging for the ball,” Curry said.

“I don’t care where you are on the court, that’s the last thing we can do. Every other decision is the right one. You got plenty to choose from. Screen away, front cut, back cut, space away from the ball. It’s the most weakest move in basketball, alright? Here we go.”

Stephen Curry is 35 years old and has been playing basketball since he was a child, so he knows what bad habits hoopers need to avoid early. That Curry preaches this despite his main talent requiring him to be given the ball is a testament to how hard he has worked to ensure his game reaches that point.

Stephen Curry Shared More Elite Advice With Hoopers At Camp

Getting to learn from a 4-time NBA champion, 2-time MVP, and Finals MVP is a rare opportunity for any young player. And the kids that have made it to Stephen Curry’s training camp are truly blessed to be learning from one of the greatest. He shared some more stellar advice with them.

“Communication, that’s the biggest thing. Honestly, I felt like I was the loudest one on this court right here, and that’s a problem. We need everybody to talk, especially if you’re trying to lead a team… people will follow if you talk. Communication is the fabric of the team.”

Stephen Curry has shown off all the traits he is teaching to youngsters now throughout his career. He is the perfect role model when it comes to practicing what you preach, and the young players would do well to hang on to every word he says.
