Draymond Green Said He Still Didn’t Like Chris Paul, Beefed With Jordan Poole’s Father, And Fell For A Fake NBA Quote In Just 24 Hours

Draymond Green was able to garner more controversy in 24 hours than most players are able to throughout their careers.

Draymond Green is known for being outspoken. Green never shies away from speaking his mind on something, even if it generates controversy in the league and leads to people criticizing him. Green is one of the best when it comes to pot-stirring, but he may have outdone himself recently.

One NBA fan on Twitter pointed out the crazy 24-hour media cycle Draymond Green had generated. Through his interview with Patrick Beverley, Green had claimed he still didn’t like his now-teammate Chris Paul, taken a shot at his former teammate Jordan Poole which caused his father to respond, and fallen for a fake NBA quote and gone after Kevin Garnett.

Even for Draymond, one of the most notorious players in NBA history, this level of controversy is on another level. Green was able to start three different topics of discussion through just one sit-down interview.

Draymond Green Won’t Shy Away From Beef With Anyone

Draymond Green’s beef with Jordan Poole had been gestating for quite some time before it exploded back into the spotlight yesterday. Green’s comments on the podcast seemed to blame Poole for their physical altercation. In response, Poole’s father seemed to criticize Green for his role in the matter.

As for Chris Paul, while Green’s comments could be interpreted as being negative, he was just being open and honest about their history with each other. Green didn’t want to be disingenuous about their hard feelings towards each other but also wanted to let people know that he was ready to put their issues behind them.

As for Kevin Garnett, this issue might be the funniest of them all. Green responded to a fake quote attributed to Kevin Garnett from a verified Twitter account that criticized Green. Garnett, however, didn’t respond to Draymond, and directly called out Twitter owner Elon Musk for his verification policy that has made misinformation such as this prevalent on the platform.

If Draymond Green is at his most outspoken at all times, there will never be a dull day in the NBA world.
