From Jordan Poole to Chris Paul, Draymond Green seemingly goes out of his way to stir up trouble wherever he can find it. Somehow, even after the Dubs unloaded Jordan Poole to D.C., Dray found himself in the spotlight again for his complicated history with Chris Paul.

It’s no secret that the two rubbed shoulders before, and Green even admitted to not liking the star point guard. Normally, these conditions would make for a rocky environment in the locker room, but ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins believes it will be a non-factor next season.

“Look, basketball heals all wounds. That is your sanctuary. Once they got on the lines and they get to communicating on pick and rolls and get to competing all that other stuff goes out the window. We talking about grown men, this is not nothing new. Like, this is normal, it happens…”

Dray and CP aren’t the first to become teammates after being rivals for 10+ years, but the stakes will be high for the Warriors this season and it will be interesting to see how they hold up against new challenges in the West.

Even in the best case scenario, the path ahead is far from easy for Dub Nation.

Can New-Look Warriors Make The Finals Next Year?

Golden State lost in the Conference Semis this past season, but there is still strong faith internally regarding what they can accomplish moving forward. Of course there are also plenty of doubters who don’t see the team doing much of anything.

“Read my lips, I give them a one percent chance and it’s not because of the addition of Chris Paul,” said Perkins last week. “There’s four teams in the Western Conference that I have ahead of them: the Nuggets, Lakers, Sacramento Kings, and the Phoenix Suns. That’s why I give them a one percent chance.”

Together, Draymond and CP3 can definitely help to maximize each other’s games and the whole world will be watching to see how they play together. At least for now, they are playing nice and keeping the focus where it should be: getting back on the path to a title.
