That number is actually fair for a guy like Brooks, who is about as one-sided as it gets in the NBA. For teams who need some backcourt depth, or defensive intensity on the perimeter, Brooks could be someone who elevates their ceiling.
But if no. 24 really wants to ensure he’s not a liability for his new team, he’ll have to keep a low profile and cool down with all the trash talk.
Houston Rockets Will Make An Offer For Brooks
The situation is still ongoing, but the Rockets are one team known to have some interest in Brooks. If they can sign him for a fair price and pair him with their young core, it could be a perfect fit for Houston.
“Dillons Brooks, last seen as Memphis’ starting small forward, is another Rockets target,” sources told Yahoo Sports, “and appears to be a more realistic candidate to join Houston this summer.”
Brooks is a 6-year NBA veteran, but he’s not the guy you want leading a group of young players. If the Rockets bring him in, they’ll need to make sure they have a trusted leader in the locker room to keep him, and everyone else, in check.
