Kendrick Perkins has become a regular at ESPN as an NBA analyst since his retirement from the league in 2019.
Sure, Perkins has a few good takes here and there, but more often than not, Perkins has managed to make a joke of himself on national TV. A recent example of this was when Big Perk reported that the Golden State Warriors star Jonathan Kuminga had grown to 7’2″ from 6’8″ a couple of months ago.
“From reports, Iβm hearing that Jonathan Kuminga is now 7’2″ [tall],” Perkins said.

Perkins tried to sound smart but ended up getting played. He fell for a fake tweet on Twitter and reported it on live television.

NBA fans on Twitter were quick to berate Perkins and questioned his credibility as an analyst for one of the biggest sports networks out there.
Many fans made fun of him.

A fan tweeted that Perkins was probably excited about reporting the fake breaking news.
Kendrick Perkins is absolutely the one I would expect to fall for this. He was probably, so excited to break this news.

Another fan claimed Perkins is unserious about his job.

Jonathan Kuminga is a great prospect, but even he cannot manage a four-inch growth spurt in his 20s. After getting called by fans, Perkins tweeted that he hates the app.

At the end of the day, it’s not new for ESPN analysts to fall for fake reports. Stephen A. Smith once fell for a manufactured report by ‘Ballsack Sports’ about Kyrie Irving and James Harden.
The Warriors Could Trade Jonathan Kuminga For A Higher Pick In The 2023 NBA Draft
Jonathan Kuminga averaged 9.9 PPG, 3.4 RPG, and 1.9 APG while averaging 20.8 MPG during the 2022-23 NBA season. Kuminga’s minutes were cut down to just 6.1 MPG come playoff time.
Since then, the 20-year-old is unhappy with his role for the Warriors. There are rumors that the Dubs may move from the young prospect. According to a recent report, the Warriors are expected to trade Kuminga for a higher pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
The Warriors were awarded the 19th overall pick in the draft. It’s still a decent pick considering the organization finished as the sixth seed in the 2022-23 NBA season.
