One NBA Fan Predicted The Nuggets Would Win The 2023 NBA Championship 4 Years Ago

Bizarrely, one NBA fan predicted that the Denver Nuggets would win the NBA championship this year all the way back in 2019.

The Denver Nuggets have been the best team in basketball during this playoff run. And heading into Game 5 of the NBA Finals, the Nuggets are just one win away from winning their first-ever NBA championship. It has been a long road for the Nuggets, but one fan predicted they would win the NBA championship four years ago.

ESPN SportsCenter found an old tweet from a fan in 2019, when he predicted that the Denver Nuggets would win the 2023 NBA championship. The Nuggets, at that point, had not even reached a Western Conference Finals in 10 years. They hadn’t shown any signs of being close to a championship contender.

Is his prediction about to come true? 😮

There’s no way of knowing why this fan predicted the Denver Nuggets to win an NBA championship, especially the 2023 NBA championship. How this fan came to this conclusion is unknown, but it will be one of the craziest fan predictions, not just in NBA history but all sports history.

The Nuggets Close To Winning It All

The Denver Nuggets could win the first NBA championship in the history of their franchise.

Having a 3-1 lead is definitely an advantageous position in the NBA Finals, but it is by no means a guarantee that a team will win the NBA championship. One can look at the 2016 NBA Finals when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA championship.

Jimmy Butler spoke after Game 4 in Miami, noting that he and the Heat are the underdogs, but know what they have to do to try and pull off an unlikely miracle and win the NBA championship. The Heat do not have the advantage by any means, but they have shown that they can cause an upset in any scenario.
