The Denver Nuggets won Game 4 against the Miami Heat in Miami. They are now one win away from winning their first NBA championship. The Nuggets will be grateful for their role players, who delivered big on the night. But Nikola Jokic was initially very unpleased with one role player in particular.

Nikola Jokic was asked about Bruce Brown’s performance in Game 4. Jokic hilariously remarked that he didn’t like one of Brown’s three-point shots, even wanting to punch him in the face for taking such a shot, but quickly changed his mind once he made it.

“When he took a step-back 3 I wanted to punch him, but when he made it I was so happy.”

Brown had a solid game for the Nuggets, stepping up with 21 points off the bench, including 3 big three-pointers. The Nuggets really benefitted from role players like Brown and Aaron Gordon, who delivered when the Heat focused their defense on Jokic and Jamal Murray.

The Nuggets In Pole Position For NBA Championship

The Denver Nuggets, as mentioned before, are now just one win away from winning the NBA championship. For the Nuggets, they have been one of the best teams in the NBA for a few years but haven’t been able to put the pieces together and make a solid playoff run.

NBA fans reacted to the Nuggets taking the lead against the Heat in their series, proclaiming that Nikola Jokic is now the premiere superstar in the NBA. But as we have seen in the past, a 3-1 lead is far from safe. Jimmy Butler revealed his mindset going into the rest of the series, noting that he and the Heat are ready to fight from underneath.

The Miami Heat will have to play some of the best basketball of their playoff run to try and overturn this challenging deficit.
