With the Lakers officially four wins away from the NBA Finals, LeBron James continues to prove the haters wrong by finding new ways to impact the game and succeed with his team. Along the way, he might also take a stray shot or two at the competition.

For Warriors veteran JaMychal Green, he finds himself on the wrong end of those jabs after losing the Western Conference Semi-Finals to the Lakers. He tried to call out LeBron earlier after James denied any attempts at flopping, and now it seems he has fired back in the subtlest way possible.

We don’t know LeBron’s exact motivations here, but it’s not ridiculous to think that he might be standing up to Green. He did something similar after Dillon Brooks challenged him in the first round.

“At the end of the day I think my resume and what I’ve done for this league speak for itself,” the four-time NBA champion said. “I don’t really get caught up in any comments like that. And like I continue to say, at the end of the day my focus is to my teammates and us trying to figure out a way how we can beat the Memphis Grizzlies, not on how I can beat an individual on their team. If anybody know me, they should know best what I’ve been always about. That’s all that matters.”

LeBron’s strategy is to let his game do the talking, and it’s been working to much success this season.

How Long Can LeBron Stay Elite?

At 38 years old, LeBron isn’t quite the player he used to be, but he’s still one of the best in the league, and he demands respect. The Grizzlies and Warriors found out the hard way that LeBron is still a force to be feared, and it’s clear that he still has years left in the tank.

As long as he and AD stay healthy, they can continue to compete for years to come. Truth be told, this year’s run may just be a taste of what’s to come, especially if LeBron stays at this level of production.
