Kevin Durant and Nikola Jokic got into a tussle during Game 5 between the Nuggets and Suns, as KD shoved Jokic and Bruce Brown for trying to listen in on a Suns huddle.

Fans were excited to see some action in a mostly boring blowout game for the Nuggets, flooding Twitter with reactions to the scuffle.

A fan found a way to criticize both players for the altercation in a lighthearted manner.

The parallels between this and Jokic pushing Mat Ishbia the other day caused fans to chuckle.

Fans sensed that Jokic ended up flopping on the push, mainly because Brown didn’t get moved that dramatically by the push.

Some believe Jokic was justified for slopping given what happened with Mat Ishbia in Game 4.

This was evidently a case of Nikola Jokic trying to play mind games with Kevin Durant, which some fans appreciated.

Durant will have to wait for Game 6 to get his revenge, as his Suns do not stand a chance of winning Game 5 after trailing by 21 points with 2:41 minutes left in the fourth quarter. KD scored 26 points on 10-24 shooting in a poor showing by his impeccable standards.

The Suns Season Headed For An Eclipse?

With Phoenix facing a 3-2 deficit in this series, many fans will expect the No. 1 seed to close them out sooner rather than later. The Nuggets have better roster depth and a superstar that is yet to let them down these playoffs. Barring a collapse, the Nuggets should be able to close this series out.

This series does have parallels to last season’s 1-4 matchup between the Suns and the Mavericks. The Suns took a 2-0 lead as the 1 seed and then went up 3-2 after Game 5 before collapsing in Games 6 and 7. Phoenix will hope they can take the role of Dallas this series and complete a 3-2 comeback on the basis of the star power of Devin Booker and Kevin Durant over the depth of the Nuggets.
