Jimmy Butler is one of the biggest performers of the 2023 NBA Playoffs. The veteran player has been on a tear, dominating the Milwaukee Bucks and willing his team to the playoffs and then to the second round of the postseason.

Now, he’s set to face the dangerous New York Knicks while the rest of the NBA gives him his flowers. However, after Heat legend Alonzo Mourning praised him, Butler had a humble response to it.

“I ain’t nobody’s hero. I’m just a decent basketball player that’s so fortunate to be able to put on a Miami Heat uniform and compete with these incredible teammates,” Butler said.

Following his incredible heroics against the No. 1 seed Bucks, making the Heat the sixth No. 8 seed to eliminate the first ranked in NBA history, Butler was showered in praise.

The Heat were inspired despite losing both Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo to injuries during the series. Now, they face a bigger challenge in the New York Knicks, ready to make another statement against the No. 5 seed in the East.

Jimmy Butler Went Off Against The Milwaukee Bucks

Butler closed out the series against the Bucks by posting 56 and 42 points in Game 5 and Game 6, respectively. Milwaukee didn’t have a response for Jimmy Buckets, who tried hard and hard to beat his rivals.

After all these big games, it’s easy to see why so many people think he’s a hero. Morning is one of the best Miami Heat players ever, and his word is important within the organization.

If the Heat want to advance to the next round, they’ll need Butler to play at his best level. Otherwise, the Knicks, even without Julius Randle, will have an easy job taking out Jimmy and co. from the playoffs. This series starts today, and fans are excited to see what’s next for the swingman.
