The Golden State Warriors have proven their championship experience by winning a third consecutive game against the Sacramento Kings to take a 3-2 series lead.

Game 5 was in Sacramento and many believed the Warriors won’t be able to take a game on the road. Now that they have, fans are salivating for what will come next.

Stephen Curry had a late takeover in the game, hitting some massive shots to keep the Kings at bay. Warriors fans heralded the ‘Curry effect’ spreading all over the Kings players.

Despite the road concerns, the Warriors have officially won a road game in every playoff series the Curry-Klay-Dray core has played in.

The team performance by Golden State in the clutch shows why they’re still the most dangerous team in the West.

Kevon Looney’s impressive showings against Domantas Sabonis are being appreciated.

Draymond Green had a big night off the bench and fans were stunned to see him turn back the clock.

Draymond even hit a deep fadeaway like Dirk Nowitzki, causing fans to be in disbelief.

Fans were supportive of De’Aaron Fox after the loss, who tried his best to play through his finger fracture.

Stephen Curry led all players with 31 points, while Klay Thompson had a crucial 25-point night. Draymond Green had 21 off the bench and Andrew Wiggins also chipped in with 20. The Kings had three players with 20 points in De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Malik Monk, but it just wasn’t enough.

Do The Kings Still Have A Chance?

The Kings were the underdogs in the series that went off to a hot 2-0 lead in the series. With their third consecutive loss in close games, they won’t be willing to give up. The Warriors are out-experiencing them but the effort has been consistently good from Sacramento’s side. If they can pull off a road upset and have a Game 7 at home, they’ll be a fierce team to overcome.

We are inching closer to a Lakers vs. Warriors second-round in the West, which will definitely excite many casual fans. The Kings will want to play spoilsport and pull off this 3-2 comeback and keep their dream run alive.

The Warriors got production from all over their roster today and this sort of team contribution will be needed again if they want to close the series out in Game 6 in their home arena. They have the talent and the experience, they just need to close it out now.
