Things have been wild for Ja this week, as the player has been doing a lot to draw attention not only from fans but his team and the entire NBA. After reports of Morant being accused of beating up a teenager saw the light, the player had a curious celebration during a Grizzlies game.
But, the most severe incident took place today, as the player flashed a gun on Instagram Live, which sent the entire NBA community into a frenzy.
NBA Launches Investigation On Ja Morant
The NBA took note of this and announced they are investigating this incident, which could mean a lot of trouble for Ja. He’s been advised to stop acting the way he’s acted in recent months, but Morant doesn’t seem to listen.
While the Memphis Grizzlies are one of the best teams in the Western Conference, their players have been involved in a series of controversies recently, and Morant’s situation doesn’t help them at all.
With the Grizzlies suspending him for at least two games, one would imagine that the league will make a bigger decision, as Morant is one of their young stars and one of the future faces of the league.
This is an image that nobody in the league wants, and the front office will have to make sure this doesn’t happen again. For this season, Ja is averaging 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in 53 games. He’s shooting 46.3% from the field and 74.4% from the free-throw line.
This kid has an amazing present and future in the league, and it would be a shame if he loses all of that for nothing.
