LeBron James and Anthony Davis won a championship together in 2020 for the Los Angeles Lakers, and there is no doubt that they are one of the best duos in the league. Though they have not found much success this season, many believe they could still win a championship together.

However, it seems as though there may be some problems for the Los Angeles Lakers. Recently, Kevin Garnett stated his belief that LeBron James and Anthony Davis are no longer seeing eye to eye in a recent episode of the Ticket And The Truth podcast.

“Bron goes down with his foot… This is the time where the Lakers are sitting back to see the Anthony Davis project…”, said Garnett. “This is featuring Anthony Davis to see what he can do in these two weeks to maneuver the Lakers… If this doesn’t really move anything… I think they come off the Anthony Davis project and move him this summer.”

“I saw how he looked when the biggest moment in sports, your teammate, he accomplished something that none of us could. But the energy wasn’t there… No one wants to say this s*it… They ain’t rocking.”

It is unclear how accurate Kevin Garnett’s theory on Anthony Davis and LeBron James is. Though there have been no reports about any locker room discontent, it is true that Anthony Davis didn’t celebrate LeBron James breaking the scoring record.

Hopefully, we see Anthony Davis be able to dominate in the coming weeks. He definitely has the talent to do so, and he is currently averaging 25.6 PPG, 12.6 RPG, and 2.1 BPG for the Los Angeles Lakers.

There Have Been Rumors That The Lakers Could Trade Anthony Davis For Kyrie Irving

There have been some rumors that have suggested that Anthony Davis could end up getting moved this summer. In particular, Chris Broussard suggested that he could be moved to the Mavericks in exchange for Kyrie Irving.

“LeBron James is sending a message to one Anthony Davis,” said Broussard. “AD is young, 29 years old. AD this summer is something that’s going to be interesting. Dallas’ objective this summer is Kyrie for AD sign-and-trade. If AD doesn’t ball in these last 23 games, the Lakers might look at something like that.”

There is no doubt that Anthony Davis would be a great acquisition for Dallas Mavericks, especially if he is acquired via sign-and-trade using Kyrie Irving’s contract. It is possible that the Lakers will decide to shake things up, and move the star that helped them win in 2020.

As of now though, Anthony Davis is still a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. He will need to step up to lead them to the playoffs and show that he is a premier superstar in the league.
