Dennis Schroder Calls For Referees To Get Fined For Their Mistakes After Massive Blunder Against The Lakers

"To lose 3-5 games this season off of referees' mistakes is really hard," Schroder lamented.

Dennis Schroder was one of the Los Angeles Lakers players who wasn’t one bit pleased with the controversial refereeing in their game against the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics eventually won 125-121 in overtime, but it was one such game where the contest never needed the extra five minutes had the referees called the foul against LeBron James in the final seconds of the fourth quarter.

Schroder, who finished with 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists, took to Instagram to post a story outlining how he felt about the blunder.

@nba, the refs gotta start getting fined for their mistakes! They also give technical fouls to ppl who are reacting to their mistakes. The replay center should also use replay to get these calls right especially on an important play like the OBVIOUS foul on LeBron at the end of the game.

This needs to stop. We need every win we can to get into this league to reach our goals! To lose 3-5 games this season off of referees’ mistakes is really hard.

There’s no doubt that Schroder knows the ramifications of the officiating mistakes. The Lakers didn’t have the greatest start to the season, and their run has been a sine wave-like one. They will need to rack up as many W’s as they can to make the postseason.

LeBron James Couldn’t Believe The Refereeing: “I Don’t Get It Honestly”

The final seconds of the game saw LeBron James going up for the game-winner at the rim, only for Jayson Tatum to clearly foul him. However, the referees didn’t call it, and James was furious after.

If it was his animated and dejected reaction on the floor that went viral on social media, it was perhaps his resigned comments that showed how upset he really was.

“You saw my reaction”

“It’s challenging, I don’t get it. I am attacking the paint just as much as any other guy in the league that’s shooting double-digit free throws a night. I don’t get it honestly.”

The Lakers will look to put the disappointment behind them and focus on the upcoming games. Their next stretch of games isn’t exactly the easiest, as they play the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks.

They follow it up with contests against the Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
