The Golden State Warriors need to win games consistently, and they are willing to do anything to get some wins. Everybody is aware of their rocky situation and they can’t miss opportunities, especially when their stars are sidelined.
This is what happened on Friday night when Steve Kerr went off on Jordan Poole after the young guard made a mistake. The head coach wasn’t having any of that and let Poole know, berating him for his errors. Following the game, Kerr talked about that situation, explaining that he will always try to push Jordan to reach the next level.
“I’m going to stay on Jordan,” Kerr told reporters in Cleveland. “He’s continuing to grow and he’s getting better. I think the last two games, he was fantastic in terms of staying off the referees. He got the offensive foul and then held the ball as he talked to the ref, and that was a delay of game. So I’m trying to get Jordan to the point where he understands every play counts and every moment counts. So, every once in a while, I snap and I snapped in that moment and he looked at me like I was nuts. But it’s all part of it. I love Jordan and I love the way he’s playing and he was incredible tonight.”
This situation drew a lot of attention around the league and many people reacted to it. One of them was Stephen Curry, who gave people a deeper read of the exchange between Kerr and Poole.

In the end, Poole had a good game, posting 32 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers, leading the Warriors to a 120-11 win over the Cavaliers. The Dubs will try to extend their good moment tonight when they face the Brooklyn Nets, who also went through a rough patch and are trying to get some wins without their superstar Kevin Durant.
