Warriors star Klay Thompson isn’t having the best of seasons, but his legacy as one of the greatest offensive players ever is already set in stone.

Similarly, for the Warriors, their status and prestige as one of the NBA’s most successful franchises have earned them the benefit of the doubt amid their rough start.

So while nobody knows if the Dubs will be able to capture another title in this Splash Bros era, Klay Thompson hasn’t lost his hunger to win. In fact, as he explained in a chat with Malika Andrews, winning one or two more championships would go a long way towards cementing themselves as one of the NBA’s All-Time great dynasties.

“I want to be remembered as a winner. I actually taped up a news article, it was of players who won five or more championships. That list is so short. To even have a chance to get that is incredible, but if we were to get there I think that would really cement us as a dynasty of the ages.”

Can Klay Thompson And The Warriors Win Another Championship Together?

After winning the Championship for the fourth time in the Curry era, the Warriors entered this season as the prohibitive favorites to win it all.

Sadly, that hasn’t been the case for the Warriors so far. At just 13-13 on the season, there are some significant doubts that they are capable of going back-to-back this year.

“I watched that Suns game and I was alarmed and I think Steve Kerr was too because he was about as candid in the postgame about what he didn’t like and where the team is it,” said Bill Simmons on the Warriors earlier this season. “He usually doesn’t do that, especially 15 games into the season. This was different but I felt that way watching it. There was no fight, they seemed disconnected, and it’s the same stuff we’ve seen all year. They’re 0-8 on the road… I honestly don’t know how you solve it with the guys they have. Because I think Wiseman they were counting on.”

If the Dubs want to turn this around, they might have to look toward the trade market. Amid the disappointing play of their young core, the Warriors could make some trades to add some more depth to the roster, especially in the frontcourt.

Either way, it’s not a good idea to count this team out. No matter how bad they look now, the Warriors are the kings of fighting through adversity and who is to say this slow start isn’t just another challenge they will inevitably overcome?
