Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant are two of the most skilled players in NBA history. Both players were incredibly talented and used their skills to become some of the best players in the league.
Durant and Kobe could take on anyone and everyone when they were on the court. But both players never limited themselves to just the NBA court, as they made separate appearances at the legendary Rucker Park to play a game of five-on-five.
Kobe Bryant went to Rucker Park in 2002 after he and the Los Angeles Lakers completed a three-peat in the NBA.
Bryant appearing there right as he had become a superstar drew a large crowd, as they were all excited to see the young Lakers sensation show up and show out. Bryant ended up showcasing his skill and flair against some of the best regular players on the court.
Kevin Durant made his appearance at Rucker Park in 2011, while the NBA was undergoing a lockout due to a disagreement between the NBA and the NBPA.
Durant came down and showed the rest of the players on the court why he was considered one of the best young players in the entire NBA at the time. Durant had an incredible showing that entertained the crowd present there.

Durant’s performance is very fondly remembered, as many fans understood just how versatile a player Durant was.
Durant appeared at Rucker Park to keep himself sharp for the season, and it paid dividends, as he was able to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Durant showed the world just how good he was, despite only being 22 years old at the time.
As for Kobe, despite only being 24 years old at the time, he was already a superstar and a 3-time NBA champion. But he was able to show his own skills, and how good he could be by himself without Shaquille O’Neal by his side.
